Hey guys,
I was just thinking that a FAQ sheet should be posted on this site so that the users can see answers to their questions. Over the period of time I have been a member of this board I have seen about 50% of these questions that could probably be answered in just a short few FAQ's. I would be happy to host it for free.. Just giving me .02
:)

Well usually just by doing a search by keyword, etc. it brings up past discussion so they can usually get their info that way.
Most people forget to use the search function though...but its worthwhile to use it :D

LOL...
I don't think there would be much harm in a FAQ about hosting... it doesn't even have to be directly related to this board...
I think we should talk there jic
I don't really think WHT need to have one, but just a general web hosting FAQ could be a good site...

While I agree with the sentiment, I think there would be problems with maintaining a faq here. If you consider what are the most frequently asked questions, the answers are often subject to interpretation and opinion.
While any one faq-writer can freely express an opinion, it'd be difficult to get a concensus among the users here on many questions. We'd expect incessant threads arguing over the information in the faq. Each newbie question that's answered with a link to the faq would be followed by a dissenting opinion. "Is unlimited always bad?" "Which is the best control panel?" "Revecom or 2checkout?" Frequently asked questions, with no clear answers.
WHT itself is and should remain unbiased, letting users express their own opinions. That's what a forum's about, anyway. An official faq means taking official stances on questions that are subject to debate -- or, as an alternative, trying to cover all the bases by including each dissenting opinion. Which usually leads to an unwieldly document that no one is going to bother to read.
