HANDS DOWN. parawing742 04-04-2002, 06:57 PM If you are looking for a pre-built unit. I would recommand ABS (www.buyabs.com). They have very good prices and all systems are built with upgradable parts. The three year warranty helps too. Space 04-04-2002, 06:57 PM Damn thats some nice hardware you get for that kind of money in Canada :) Tetraboy 04-04-2002, 06:59 PM Check out http://www.resellerratings.com or something they review sites that list in pricewatch. AMD ALL THE WAY! fractiousws 04-04-2002, 07:08 PM Currently looking at this http://www.cpusolutions.com/bestbuy_p317.htm Seems like a pretty good deal to me. Tetraboy 04-04-2002, 07:15 PM Are you wanting prebuilt, or build your own? You could buy a nice rackmount server lol. AMD Athalon 1.2ghz 512mb DDR RAM geforce 2 32mb gfx card nice motherboard nice case w/matching keyboard! :) cant remember stats on DVD rom drive but its like 48x cd-rom too 40gb HDD uhhh and i think that was all i got...had the rest from previous system. but for a year ago, if you wanted something similar to this you couldnt get it for less than like 1200...i ended up paying 900 i believe after shipping and all that good stuff. anyways my 2 cents. Pricewatch = ownz all also just got 3 32mb flash memmory cards for my digital camera for 9 bucks each! jeez! netacore 04-06-2002, 03:05 AM build your own newegg.com has some good prices WebmastTroy 04-06-2002, 04:05 AM I've got a nice ElitePC custom built computer (http://www.elitepc.com). 1.2GHz 40GB 256MB Onboard Video Network/Modem for about $500, but that was about 1/2 a year ago, and I'm sure the prices are probably cheaper now. Anyone else use ElitePC or know of someone who has one? |
