Which hosting directories have you had good results advertising in? Also, I want an ad that is either pay per click, or pay for a time period (like $200 for 1 month). By good results, I mean you received lots of clicks, and also got some customers from it.

I will make you a web hosting directory and put you "on the front page" of every aspect of it if you give me $200 a month.

Unless you advertise in a webhost directory that has a lot of people visiting it (be careful, they can fool you) then I would be careful about spending as much as $200 a month.

hmm.. I wasn't really serious about that statement at the top, but now that I think about it I could actually make that work for the both of us...lol.. if you want to talk about it contact me...lol

I thought so, but I was just trying to say that Hosting directories aren't always what they are made up to be...
And for advertising in general on the internet, I find that you have to just try something and see how it goes. I mean you can obviously evaluate a possibility, and look for other's experience etc.

Although a couple of my customers come from web hosting directories, I've found that advertising in places not related to hosting can be very successful. Check out forums and communities with a large subscriber base. A lot of those people will be interested in getting a website even though they may not actively be looking for it.
