Ok, I am in the middle of starting up a company and in about a month or two I am about to go public.
Now, do I need to register my company and if I do where and what do I need to register?
I saw this package here:
http://www.startingmybusiness.biz/company-formation/ew-concept-company-formation-info.html
Is this what I need to do? Or is it something else?
edit: also if I register the company in england will it also be registered in america too? or is there more forms?

If you register in England, no it wont also be registered in America. America and England are two different countries with different rules and regulations.

To register your company, you need to go to your local chamber of commerce (thats what it is called in Canada), find the grumpy old lady at one of the desks and ask her for a Business License Registration form. Fill it out, she'll check to see if there are any other company's using it in the area, etc etc. And you will be done.

If you're going to be a sole Proprietor all you have to do is phone the inland revenue and tell them you are going to be self employed. They will then send you tax returns to fill out and bills for you national insurance.

if you are going to be a sole trader, there are very little things you need to do, you dont really need to even register.
the down side of a limited company in the uk is that you have to present you finacial fiqures to the goverment every year, this requires an account to check your fiquers, this would cost £300+ to do, you cannot submit them yourself.
hope that helps

sorry for the double post,
although if you are a sole trader if the company gets into debt you are soley resonsible for it, in he eyes of the government you are one item.
