Does anyone here run/use courier-imap on their machines? I'm trying to use it on my debian linux box and I cannot get it to work for the life of me. The build and install go fine, but when I try to run /usr/lib/courier-imap/libexec/imapd.rc I get this error: ll_daemon_start: Resource temporarily unavailable. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? I've asked on the courier-imap mailing list, but I haven't gotten a response yet. Thanks.

i've found this tutorial very helpful.. rather than trying to work
out the details of courier-imap, i suggest you go to this site
and checkout mail-toaster 2.0 (2.2 has a script..but its still a little buggy)

Well, I went through his docs. Still no dice. Getting the same error. I have no idea why.

What version of courier-imap?
Did you run 'make install-configure'?

and/or pop3d.rc
theres an arrray for AUTH_MODULES ( or something similar )
which has a list of mods.. if you configured it with the right flags , you can define it there as well.

I've tried 1.3.8 thru 1.4.4, same problem on all. Yes, I ran make install-configure

Yes, I've checked all of that, I'm still getting the ll_daemon_start: Resource temporarily unavailable error.
