Is it a tradition at WHT for users to get their # of posts up as high as they can?

I don't think so......but it looks like me and defcon got one started :D (SH)Saeed 04-04-2002, 09:55 AM I don't see what the big deal is about it. Every day there are a few new "my 100th post", "my 400th post", etc.. I mean, a lot of people have been on WHT for a very long time and have not posted more than 50 posts, and a lot of users that have been here only a month and have posted 500+ posts, so what does it matter how much you have posted? What are you trying to prove? Does it make you a better person or cooler just because you have a lot of posts? Anyways, I don't have anything against it, just don't understand it I guess.. Think quality of the response would probably earn you a better reputation than the quantity though - if that is your's or Defcon's intention webarama 04-04-2002, 10:24 AM Makes those of us who lurk and rarely post look really bad too :) (SH)Saeed 04-04-2002, 10:35 AM I think instead of judging people by how many posts they have (i.e. letting them change their titles after 500 posts), there should be a time limit (i.e. they can change their posts after 3 months of WHT membership). What do you guys think? :look: anantatman 04-04-2002, 10:59 AM time limit would be lame, the competition promotes people working to build a better community. ( you know thats total BS, and WHT addiction is what it is) Omni 04-04-2002, 11:48 AM Nah I don't think that would be a great idea, puts a halt on the information flow. Perhaps a more tightened control over what people post would be better? CRego3D 04-04-2002, 12:20 PM Na, not really (hehe, one more post !!!) Omni 04-04-2002, 12:24 PM Oh no... AL-Benjamin 04-04-2002, 12:28 PM Na, not really (hehe, one more post !!!) Dito! ;) To be honest i don't hold much sway in the number of posts a person has. They either have good advice or they don't. their number of posts won't change that. JKLIVIN 04-04-2002, 01:53 PM all good points thebyp2 quality over quantity, but in the greater scheme of things, I don't think anyone really looks at either # of posts or what they are posting. webx 04-04-2002, 02:38 PM Originally posted by CRego3D Na, not really (hehe, one more post !!!)
