Ok I got a problem or better yet need some understanding. For the last few years since started maintaining my own website and server. I've always used Webalizer and Urchin Stats as my main stats to determine the number of visitors and page views I get.

I always compare the two to see a middle road so I can guess the number of visitors I get daily and as well as hits.

For Webalizer, to determine the number of visitors I get a month, I just look at July Monthly Totals--->Visits--->776718

To balance this out I look at Urchin.

July--->Sessions Graph---->Range Total--->704,427

For Urchin stats, it always show more than Webalizers. But due to high CPU usages, Urchin stats didn't run on a few days of July which is why the total is less than what Webalizer was showing.

But to get back on track. This is what I use to determine how many visits or unique visits I get a month. Those are the numbers I have for July. Those are the numbers I would quote if someone were to ask me how many visitors I get in July.

Well an advertising agency ask for my numbers and I gave that number base on Urchin and Webalizer. Well I gave 700000 as a balance between the two.
Well the reply I got back was those number was wrong and that I would be lucky to get half of that because my site is still too small. If my site were getting those kind of numbers, it would be on Nielson reports or Comscore’s Media Metrix or whatever.

Well I don't want to get into an arguement between what my numbers are with the other person, but if I can't use Urchin or Webalizers numbers as a way to let advertising agency to know what my site average is in terms of how many visits each month then how am I suppose to gauge how many visits I get each month?

Daily I average 25000-30000 visit base on Webalizer and Urchin.
