I have asked this question before, but I haven't really got the response I was looking for.
Basically, I need a simple script that does exactly the same as the "add user" in the admin section of a virtual site, but I need this form on a normal website. There must be someone that has done this already!! As I am not that fluent in Perl I don't know how to do this (only know PHP), and would appreciate any help I can get!!!
Thanks
:)

Anyone?
Anyone that can give me some advice on how I could create such a script? Can I do it with PHP?
Thanks :)

It very much depends on the control panel you are using...

Their were some scripts that did it for free, but I'm not sure if it still excist / still under devel;opment. I'll have a look at my old pc, I think I saved it there.

Surfer,
I created a simple script a while ago to do this, it has now been expanded and changed to suit our needs. I can't give you my script but I can give you some pointers
Have a look at the script that the actuall server uses and reproduce that in your own system.. The script is quite simple and as I said can be created in a relaviely short time. You can then add support for what ever you like later (eg Domain registrations and payment processing) depending how you plan to do this.. When doing this you may also want to suspend the site as a default.
I told one of our clients about my system and they now have a web accessable Add User page exactly the same as the cobalt one, but without a password. I wouldnt advise that, but you get the drift.
If you would like any help or pointers please feel free to email me personally on yeatsie@yeatsie.net

Samuel

Nope, don't like shadm and directphp costs too much. I think I'll stick with setting domains up manually since I'm not setting too many of them up anyway.
shadm is just too complicated to setup. Spent 3 hours on it and it still doesn't work.
Oh well, i've just given up on it.

Are you talking about my sign up script, maybe? I used to have a website for it a while ago...

Hello mjehlenz,
Glad to see you hear. Infact, I am feeling very nice. Well, many scripts have been developed after your signup script. And for sure, all credit goes to you.
You may check out all of them at:
http://shadm.hostmentor.com
http://www.directphp.com
and the one in my profile.
Once again, thanks for joining us back :p
