Google maintain a list of third party sitemap creators, you may want to visit http://code.google.com/sm_thirdparty.html

What's the benefit of using the sitemap feature (I'm honestly too busy to check myself ;) ).

Thanks!

Sitemaps allow for your site to be spidered faster and easier (especially if you have many tiers on your site and the spidering bots stop after a few levels). I have been told that a good sitemap creator is Xenu's Link Sleuth (which also checks for broken links)., which is what I am going to use once I finish a site I am working on.

I'd really like to use this on one of my projects. but it gives an error. I've PM'd you the URL so you can duplicate.

The error is:

Invalid page type

Your url doesn't seem to be a valid target file. Valid file types are Array

PM me if you need help troubleshooting.

There is a free extension available for dreamweaver that will do all the work for you, then you just upload the xml file to your site root ftp.

;) Hmm, i thought I sent it to you. It's not a live project so please don't pass it around. I must've sent it to the thread starter.
