I can't connect to my server on dcjn link... dektong 04-03-2002, 11:27 PM I think NAC might have a network glitch... My server at NAC is slow, much slower than usual. I can see that problem starts at nac-1.border11.nyc.pnap.net (209.191.130.94) ... A lot of lags starting on this hop cheers, jayglate 04-03-2002, 11:31 PM Basically we/nac are having a HUGE DDOS attack. And currently ther are 4 Net Engin: working on the problem. fractiousws 04-03-2002, 11:32 PM "My server has 100% uptime! :-P " Oh really :D dektong 04-03-2002, 11:35 PM seems the problem is fixed ... hm... impressive. How long ago did the problem start? Definitely the problem is fixed within 10 minutes (or around that)... impressive. cheers, J Hero 04-03-2002, 11:37 PM Originally posted by fractiousws "My server has 100% uptime! :-P " Oh really :D Yes! Definitely the problem is fixed within 10 minutes (or around that)... impressive. not for me :( teck 04-03-2002, 11:41 PM It's unfortunate DCJN gets attacked quite a lot. Maybe it's time to take some preventative measures. JTY 04-03-2002, 11:51 PM I'm not very happy with this downtime! jayglate 04-03-2002, 11:52 PM These attacks are only recent and are not expected to continue much longer. acetate 04-03-2002, 11:56 PM How much longer Jason¨ˆ¨ˆ!?! Got my ICQ message?? teck 04-04-2002, 12:20 AM Back up.. about time. jayglate 04-04-2002, 12:22 AM No, i didn't get your icqs my home comps hd failed and i am on a backup old comp, which has a virus :( so i don't have access to my office comp to view my icq's i am sorry. but you can PM me if needed. teck 04-04-2002, 12:28 AM Yawn... back down. JTY 04-04-2002, 12:46 AM Well about time. dektong 04-04-2002, 12:46 AM any IP for me to trace? I guess it's DCJN that's down and not NAC since my server at NAC is up. cheers, teck 04-04-2002, 12:48 AM www.serverexpert.com is hosted on dcjn. acetate 04-04-2002, 12:49 AM roller coaster.. dektong.. just traceroute to my domain. StephenRS 04-04-2002, 01:00 AM Well, Pajo.com on the West coast reported huge denial of service attacks too! All day two of our three sites have been up and down (PWebtech / Pajo) Weinbar has actually been the stronger of our three! dektong 04-04-2002, 01:17 AM hm ... again now on NAC ... 7000+ms lag on the nac-1.border11.nyc.pnap.net .... yep ... up a down like mountains :) Weinbar has actually been the stronger of our three! Actually, VDI to :D cheers, StephenRS 04-04-2002, 01:25 AM Yha, we have having MAJOR loss the last 60 minutes at pwebtech.... I am monitoring them out of affordablecolo.com in Dallas and seeing 15 second delays on all my requests (normally 2/10th of a second!) dektong 04-04-2002, 01:29 AM oh geez .... things look getting worse now ... it's no longer roller coaster, but it's all red lines on my pingplotter :( cheers, dektong 04-04-2002, 02:35 AM OK ... NAC seems to be OK now, but DCJN is still showing some packet losse (internal to DCJN). nac-1.border11.nyc.pnap.net seems to be back normal cheers, manmythlgnd 04-04-2002, 02:50 AM Originally posted by dektong any IP for me to trace? I guess it's DCJN that's down and not NAC since my server at NAC is up. cheers, Those PC routers can't handle the load of the DoS attack. TimPD 04-04-2002, 03:33 AM  I can't stand hackers. ERR. We have had DoS attacks in our Network before and our customers and myself and the other staff didn't like it to well.... People need to learn how to respect :) mdrussell 04-04-2002, 03:55 AM Sigh... unlucky us, we have servers in VDI and NAC  TimPD 04-04-2002, 04:06 AM Poor You Matt. I know you had some other trouble us, you and splash host our trouble was on the 26th and thank goodness we found no more of those sorry things.. dwayrynen 04-04-2002, 04:52 AM Originally posted by StephenRS Weinbar has actually been the stronger of our three! We (Deru/Weinbar) have two IRC servers on our network - we get lots of practice at stopping DOS attacks... We have about 2 gigabits of available inbound capacity - it would take a hefty DOS attack to take the network down with just traffic flows... Darin (ps - to all the hacker wannabe's this is not a challenge!) BiGWill 04-04-2002, 08:34 AM yeah, i can imagine how much irc servers attrack dos attacks ... but as you said, it's only good, as your learning how to filter effective :D oSM 04-05-2002, 04:15 AM DCJN is down again.. :(( dektong 04-05-2002, 04:21 AM yea, I realized that too (been monitoring their network for the past 24 hours). Problem seem to be at their core1.dcjn.pwebtech.com . Does not seem to be DOS attack since the problem just suddenly start without prior indication. Well, let's see how long it will take them to fix this. Best of wishes for them ... NAC, on the other hand, is still up. cheers, mdrussell 04-05-2002, 04:27 AM I am wondering if they are suffering from router failure - we've seen it get clogged up a couple of times over the past week, and now this.... I certainly hope it's resolved soon. freakysid 04-05-2002, 04:29 AM Yep - my server is unreachable. DCJN has been having troubles lately - I hope they all get smoothed out. My traceroute dies after aggr1.oct.dcjn.net freakysid 04-05-2002, 04:31 AM back up now :) BTW - I posted this in another thread but it may have gone un-noticed -> Any Pwebtech DCJN customers can PM me with their ICQ number if they want to stay in touch. I have one other DCJN customer on my ICQ list and it is good to compare notes - and cross-check if there are problems. dektong 04-10-2002, 08:19 PM Any pwebtech customer down as of now? My server at Site5 is down, as well as Site5. Not sure whether this is a problem with Site5 or with pwebtech. It might be with Site5 since DCJN and NAC (as well as pwebtech itself) are all up. cheers, acetate 04-23-2002, 02:11 AM DCJN down again?! acetate 04-23-2002, 02:12 AM nevermind.. back up.. i think. |
