I recently hosted a site with 123reg. However, after numerous problems im moving back to 1and1.
When I transfer my domain, (.co.uk) it will cost no more then £7/8 as far as im aware.
However, what can I do with the hosting i paid for through 123reg?
Is it possible to cancel this? or transfer it to 1and1? or make a new site using the hosting space?
Or have i simply lost £35 for 1yrs hosting?
Thanks alot.

Cancel hosting by contacting them, you cant transfer hosting accounts. Just backup your site on your current host, then upload on the new hosting.
Also, if it's 1 year hosting then check the services TOS, and see if they give refunds for this type of situation.
You can not actually transfer .co.uk domain name. You have to change Tag Holder. Current Registrar should be able to assist you with that, otherwise Nominet charges some fee for Tag Change.

Looks like you're not entitled to a refund... this is what their terms and conditions say:
6.1.1 Fees payable monthly or yearly will be paid in advance and will not be refundable in whole or part if the Agreement or relevant part is terminated during the period to which the payment relates
Are things so bad that you absolutely need to move straight away? If not why not wait till your year is up and then move?

If they have a clause written into their TOS it may be best to stay until the plan fully ends.

They dont support PHP and its really causing me problems.
The whole site which i designed using another host did. You can imagine the problems.
It all comes down to forms. I dont have a form that works with HTML where people can submit details, and then there details are sent to both mine and theirs email address.
I should have checked but I am so suprised 123Reg don't support PHP!

Do NONE of their hosting packages meet your requirements, or is it just the one you signed up for? Would you be able to upgrade to a package that does support PHP?
£35 isn't a lot for a year's hosting; and unless you can upgrade to a package that supports PHP you may just have to cut your losses and write off the unexpired part of your £35 and put the whole thing down to experience.
BTW, Nominet tags and hosting packages are not necessarily tied together (though some hosting companies insist on having their customers' domains in their tag, for their own convenience). You may be able to move your hosting to a different provider while keeping your tag with 123reg.

Does your host support frontpage or perl? there are other form scripts available
