I currently hoping to switch Hosting companies soon and I am looking for opinions on ************.com (the same company as ehostingbiz.com).

I am mostly concerned with reliability (server uptime) and upload/download speeds. I want to build a site where unregistered visitors will download a free 6mb zipped file and if they pay me (via PayPal), they can download a non-shareware 5mb zip file.

What is the deal with "unlimited data transfer"? Why do people hate it so much? Is it because companies offer it and when customers exceed a certain threshold they are booted off the server without warning? I am concerned because I don't know how popular my site will be.

My Requirements:
* $15 - $40 month is desireable
* Windows 2000 / ASP (ASP.net preferred)
* SQL Server (Appx 100 MB)
* Shared SSL access
* ASP Components (ASPImage is important)
* 300-500 Mb web storage
* ?? Data transfer (I don't know how much I need yet)
* 5 POP (IMAP preferred) / Unlimited Aliases
* 5 FTP accounts - not really sure how many I need
* Multiple Domain Names on the same account (appx 5)
* Sub domain administration preferred
* Install DLL's preferred

************ has a 300mb/unlimited plan for $20/mo. I am also looking at SectorLink ($17 or $25/mo plan), GearHost ($15/mo plan), FlareHosting ($34/mo plan). Should I be taking the data transfer limits more seriously? Any thoughts?

I use them.
I host smaller clients sites via them. I have about 15 sites through the one account.

Prices are good, although I've since found cheaper - ( http://www.resellerspace.net/plans.php )

Support is ok. not great though - they take up to 48 hours to respond to help desk and phone is only available about 16 hours per day.

I'd rate them a 6.5 out of ten.

no, that maybe because now they're moving their office to another location. i've been with them nearly 1 year, and customer service so far is fast and good.
but now as i said , they need to extend their business, so some's been changed, including phone numbers. just wait for them to settle their location, i think you'll be satisfied with them.

look at some comments here:
