afaik, myacen.com has been down for at least 24 hours... and it was down several days ago for a protracted period.

can anyone confirm this?

i signed up for their recently advertised 8gb/100gb special via rackshack... it's been great so far, but now i need to know where to put additional domain html files at... it seems that plesk lets you create the domain, but it doesn't create the relevant directory for the files.

since i couldn't get to the myacen.com forums, i finally emailed robert... will it get thru to him?

thanks,

dan

Ouch. I couldn't get myacen either. I hope they aren't in super-serious difficulty -- spammers, hackers, or something. They are NICE folks.

I can't seem to get to their website either, if it helps anything.

I believe they are updating their DNS.

Not the main page, not the forums. I checked a couple of sites that I know are with myacen and they seemed to be up as usual.

This would affect their email as well, right?

Robert had promised to mail me when my transfer had arrived (which should be now) but if they can't reach their mail there isn't really much to do about it...

it's going on three days now :-0 doesn't that seem a bit long for a dns issue?

the email i sent yesterday to sales@myacen.com came back with an mx failure... so email for support probably isn't going to be any better.

surely they must know about this? wish there was some way i could help!

You can reach the temporary forum here:

And yes, I was told it was a dns move.

I made a whois search for myacen.com and they are changing from ns.tigersomething to ns.myacen.com. It's not unusual for that kind of change to take a few days. I think anything up to 72 hours is considered normal.

If it's DNS as you all say it is that's taking a long time. If you're going to change your name servers you could plan it so there is little down time, if any. Maybe they had problems though, everyone does.

at godaddy.com... i like the way that registrar uses a public password to stop the spambots... is that too much to ask from netsol.com, lol!

thank you snikle for the direct ip to the myacen forums; using that, i was finally able to figure out how to ftp into my new virtual domains, even tho the dns hasn't been changed over yet.

Hello,

Yes it has been sometime now, but it should be available soon. Don't fear we haven't gone belly up just the DNS hasn't updated :)

I wonder how you setup your DNS that will cause all this problem. The problems can be easily avoidable if you do plan ahead.

Right-on dektong. However sometimes you do run into problems...if you plan long enough that won't happen..
