Hi, i was wondering if an alternative version of the cobalt software could be coded with php? with features such as user activation, management and user control panels also? how is cobalt user information stored (if you know how it's stored where can i find database information from)? You may think it's pointless but i'm about to make an account script which is better looking with a lot of addons (customizable user mailing lists, lots of small scripts, owner payment notification on clients and automatic deletion if payments aren't recieved within a configurable amount of days etc...)

I think Cobalt is only to host small sites on. I don't like the control panel maybe Hostgui will finally work on a RaQ :).

I've been working on a control panel very similar to that of a Cobalt RaQ. My version is meant to handle large sites and large number of sites. Its also much faster. I dont know of any control panel thats out there that will replace the cobalt raq's and install on the cobalt raq appliance. But it will be good to be able to install FreeBSD on a Cobalt RaQ. I may even think of making a RaQ version even with LCD support :).
