I just got the exact same thing too!!

I haven't used AOL since 3.0 and don't expect to go back either....why can't they just understand that???

I'll be sending them a nice little reply when I get home tonight. The nice thing about this in the United States is that if you request to be removed from their e-mail list, they have to honor the request by law. I'm not sure if that works Internationally but I'm sure it's the same. Too bad there isn't a law that allows you to go find the person that pressed the send button and take care of matters how you see fit. :) Oh' well, it won't be the first time I've had to type up a message to get results.

why bother typing??

calling AOL up is a great stress reliever!!!

Call up their 800 number ask to speak to a supervisor and start complaining/ranting.

tell them how muchyou dislike their service and how they should stop spamming....it's fun :D

Yeah, they make good coasters. We gotta find a use for those; get so many of 'em.

they are nice to throw like bluerock and blow the crap out of, but it takes a little work to make sure they go straight

LOL, I've wall papered a wall in my bedroom with some of my CDS..

I've got a plan to use the AOL, earthlink, and MSN CDS together to make a mosaic of something, I can only work the first 3 letters of my name so far, but by the end of the year I should have enough to make something creative.....any ideas??

I buy them from my neighbors at about $0.02 a piece and pick them up(the free ones) whenever I go to best buy or kmart or whatever....

Man, i wish there was a way we could somehow re-use them, convert them into CD-R's or CD-RW's.

Do they still come in DVD cases? That's about all I ws collecting them for. Throw away the CD and put a burnt CD into the case. Was great when you got a 2nd hand PS2 game with a nasty cover

if that spam came out from their Virginia datacenter .. they could get put in jail .. in fact if there was a suit you could sue the for EVERY email that was sent.

i heard one business here were sued by 1200 recipients for 20 dollars an email.

(each recipient made 20 bucks)

but the business learnt a lesson

There are quite a few arts & crafts ideas you can do with AOL discs. I went to the Rockville Arts Place and looked at their quilt exhibit. One of my favorite pieces was "The Not-Enough-Free-Time-Blues", priced at $2,700. It was a 9-piece quilt with AOL and other unlimited ISP CDs sewn into each piece.
