hi im new to how domain name redirections work. If i get a host on a server or something, am i able to have a domain name point to different parts of my server. like if i have a folder with a different site or something can i do that? im confused as to how it would work.

you can do it using URL frame or URL reditect to point to a different directory :)

If you want to have multiple domain names link to the same Web site or you want to make multiple domains look like one site, you may use Web Forwarding services offered by Domain Registrars.

So rather than have multiple Web sites, you may have multiple domain names forwarded to one website which does not require any change to your main site.

You can also create an A record and just use apache to create virtual accounts for each
