I came across internetroot.com/about, and this is what's there:

The cheapest .com-domain name registrar was reg2c but they started to defraud their customers. now we would recommend gandi.net*

I haven't been able to find out the facts, so be cautious!!!

the third paragraph mentions reg2c

it only mentions what i posted above

Yes, i also read that same paragraph and i did a search on this issue. Couldn't find anything about it.

That website just made a statement without stating any supporting info.
