Im in high school about to go into collage and i was wondering what computer programing is about. like some stuff I might do. im really intrested in this and i would like to know as much as i can about it. I would really like it if someone would e-mail me with some insite on this thank you.

Well My first thing is A+ certification. That is for basic problem solving skills. http://www.Comptia.com for more info on the test and such. that deals with Hardware, Binary code, networking, laptop and such. I am in a course for my certification as we speak. Any other questions email me.

computer programming classes, you learn a programming language like any one of these and/or others... whichever one(s) your school offers:

BASIC
visual basic
pascal
c / c++
java

a computer programming class is simply to teach you

1) the programming language (like syntax)
2) the semantics of programming (like good formatting, and to think like a computer (step by step / line by line)

btw, i have already taken IB computer studies/science class which taught c++

this year, im taking AP computer science...hehe

Check out the "_____ for Dummies" series of books, jhpatriots.

Despite their somewhat regrettable titles, they do give good general overviews and introductions to many areas of computer technology, use, and programming.

I hear George W. hasn't been able to get through any of them yet -- but most people have little difficulty with them...

That was a cheap shot. Do you think BIG AL could have done any better. He may have given the net a little plublicity but I don't think he could have finshed colleged he dropped out of one.
