godaddy.com $8.95
stargateinc.com $8.85
directi.com $8.49

Any others?

Registrars above $9 need not apply.

Out of all the ones that are <$9, GoDaddy and Stargate would be the best ones to go with. I wouldn't trust any other company.

Note: reg2c.com (i think) is reported to have registrations at $6.95 but I haven't met anyone successful in doing so and it seems tgtbt

I'm quite pleased with Godaddy.

Newsflash:

Stargate upped their registrations to $13.95
Upped their transfers to $10
You can still register 2 or more domains at the same time for $8.85 but renewals will occur at the $13.95 rate.

Looks like GoDaddy will be the choice for everyone then.....

.....but if Domain Registration is like any other industry, if one company that holds a big percentage of the market raises their prices, so will their competitors...

NameCheap is an Enom reseller. I think Byron was looking only for ICANN accredited corps.

Thanks for replying, guys.

Dave is right. Please limit this discussion thread to ICANN registrars below $9. Thanks.

Maybe we can start another thread for OpenSRS or Enom.

Seems like godaddy is the leading player in this range now.

How about Directi, any experience with them or any other registrars?

Cheers.

No idea... but that seemed to be what he wanted to restrict things to. Maybe he doesn't trust resellers or something?

I've actually got a few domains with NameCheap and would reccomend them, but unless I'm reading things wrong he doesn't want to consider such an option.

No special reasons. I have domains with resellers from opensrs and enom. Just shopping around for a ICANN accredited registrar.
