TheException 04-02-2002, 11:45 PM I too may be interested in this offer...
I would like to hear from current customers if there are any...
The deal looks pretty good... can anyone point me towards a better one?
Vestirse 04-03-2002, 01:53 AM 1000mb of disk space and 5gb transfer/month for only $4 a month? Am I the only one that sees this deal marked with a big red NO ? -Ves
Its just eye catching, Why would you need 1000 MB of space if you dont have over 5 GIG transfer ?
Probably good for storage.
TheException 04-03-2002, 02:50 AM about the 1GB of space....
HD's are getting very cheap these days, and often hosts keep the number of clients per server around or under 100, and its easy to have a server with a, or even 2 100GB Hard drives...
Its also enticing, and like Sina implied, most people that want a GB of space would want more than 5GB of transfer, and thats where they would make the additional money.
iBridge 04-03-2002, 03:12 AM Y'all took the words right outta my mouth. If you need 1000 MB of space, wouldn't you need more than 5 GB of transfer? One would think. That's an aweful lot of crap just sittin' around. Heck, you could not only store all your files, but your brother's and your cousin's and your neighbor's and your neighbor's brother's... lol. Mama always said, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." Mama was wise.
bellgamin 04-03-2002, 03:53 AM $4 & so many goodies! It looks sooooo fine for the bux.
Since they want $6/gig for excess data transfers, maybe there's a small glimmer of reality there.
No forum. Too bad. I always feel a bit more comfortable if there's an active customer forum. Or at least the beginnings of one.
I wish someone would come forth who has had some actual experience w/these guys.
Shalom..bellgamin
TheException 04-03-2002, 12:16 PM I agree, I wish more customers would come forward to talk about their hosts. I know lots do, but there are so many people that don't... people that aren't even members of WHT.. :(
Oh well, tis life.

I signed up about 2 years ago with them through one of the Ebay deals they had. Like 40 bucks for the year. Let me tell you there is not a single host on here who has been bashed that can match the awful support and unfreindly service I got from there. I was there 2 months and never had one of my over 50 support emails answered. I waited 1 1/2 months to get frontpage extensions reinstalled never happened. I did finally contact the BBB because I was so pissed at the fact this kid kept getting my emails and NEVER answering one of them. The BBB did contact him and I did finally receive my money back after 3 months. Unfortunately I went with another host offf ebay after that. and will the same results. My advice it stay away from anything on ebay that offers 10000 megs and unlimited bandwidth for 19.99 a year. I have been with two and I have freinds who have also been through the same thing. Here are the two I personally dealed with from Ebay.
:uzi: Web Hosting Factory
:uzi: Freeboost
:uzi: All unlimited hosts..
TheException 04-03-2002, 02:16 PM Thanks for your words on these hosts...
IMHO... a better tip might be to stay away from all hosts that advertise unlimited bandwidth...
NOBODY can truley offer unlimited bandwidth without going bankrupt...
There are some companies out there that just don't advertise a limit, and they say "We don't monitor your traffic, but if things get out of hand we will have to instate a limit" That is just fine, these people are honest, and willing to give you a good deal. One nice thing about this approach, is often people don't use the bandwidth they pay for. Other people strugle to stay within their bounds. This allows the two types of people to even out, while they are both getting a good service at a decent price.
Hope my 2 cents has some value to it.
porthos 05-23-2002, 10:24 PM Well, i became a customer of this company a week ago and i'm not at all happy with them. They don't return e-mails about anything (and i was trying to spend more money with them). They don't have any useful FAQ's - like how to move and stack other domains with them.
Granted the $36 for the year isn't alot of money, but at least do me the courtesy of replying to my e-mails.
Now i hope i can at least get my money back - and from what I've read on this and other forums...as we say in Russia...toughshie sheetski.
