You have to buy the domain name, even if you decide not to have a website.

You cannot sell what you don't own.

So you can't park it for $5/Year?

You still have to own the domain name, even if you decide to park it.

You don't even have to park it, but you do have to own it before you can sell it.

The domain name and the website it points to are two different things completely.
