Hello everyone,

As you know all the people who applied for a HostCharge account were put on hold, until we made some required changes to the HostCharge system.

I'm glad to announce that the changes are completed and the new MCC (with all features) will be available within 2 days.

All those people who applied or want to apply are now welcome to visit the following link

http://www.hostcharge.com/apply

And submit their application online. If you are approved then your account will be setup instantly, however it wont be activated until you fax us the required documents. As soon as you do that we will activate your account. Sorry for any delays caused by our upgrades!

And yes before you ask.... our setup fee waived offer for 2checkout, Revecom, Ematic and ClickBank clients is still on for this week only!, after that you pay the setup fee :)

Thank you for listening :)

Best Regards,
Asher Saeed / asher@hostcharge.com

Does the waiving of the setup fee apply to the 'select' or 'direct' package?

I thought I remember you saying you were working on the eliminating or reducing the wire transfer fee in the future. Is this something you still anticipate?

Any way to get a demo of the MCC?

- The waving of the setup fee applys to both packages
- Sorry we never provide a demo due to security purposes
- Yes the reduction of the wire fee is still a feature and is available. The more you process (the more *we* make) we reduce your wire cost from our own profits.

2 links do not work, simply because we're setting up a new website for faq & support.

Thank you for your concern.

do you lick the stamp for them personally when u send the statements each month? (it better be gold plated) :D

Excuse me, what exactly is so outrageous? Your post is quite unjustified, we're a third party billing company and for that our charges are pretty low.

And ofcourse you have to pay for the wire transfer, it costs money! We charge lower than our competitors. And chargeback insurance costs money.

So please in future read carefully before posting. And our statement fee is only USD 10. $20+ is for chargeback insurance which is optional.

Hi!

The offer is actually nice. But, what is holding us is this fact - charge for the chargeback insurance. Pardon me, but this is just my opinion.

Why have us insure for a chargeback? Is your system not foolproof in preventing chargeback? (If only the name of the merchant appears on the billing statement...) What are the main reasons for a chargeback anyway? Customer dissatisfaction? Why not make it a policy that all merchants should refund 100% the clients at no questions asked? (sorry for all these questions).

Your system should also be able to screen out credit cards whose owners have histories of "unreasonable" chargeback. Is it able to do that? Your system should also be able to separate the "good" cards from "bad" ones. I am sure it does that.

If that is the case, why provide for an optional chargeback insurance? How I wish you guys gladly absorb it. After all, what are the chance of a chargeback? If your system is effective, chargebacks may be closer to 0%! (I am overemphasizing here).

Or (although I am not really sold out with this) you may want to do something like a reserve type. Like every pay-out cycle you take say 10% of the paycheck which is to be paid out on the next cycle. I don't know if I am making sense here. Please forgive me.

Thanks.

:)

Our system already does that (screening of ccs). But there are chargebacks due to various other causes even though a cc might be legit.

We wish to remain in business for years and years to come, not a few months :) So we cannot absorb the chargebacks on behalf of our clients. The chargebacks are caused by you the seller, hence it is your charge not ours.

I do not wish to get into all this chargeback nonsense, but after our experience with technohosts (chris gentile), we realized that absorbing chargebacks is not a good idea.

So in our system you pay for what you incurr. Besides if you had an actual merchant account you would still be paying for chargebacks, your bank wouldn't bend over just for you ;)

Think about this in a different prospective. Supposing you run a horrible company (just supposing). Supposing you cannot even handle billing propery (Like say ***** :D) and you do not refund clients or forget to do so. Thus your clients revert to a chargeback, so tell us a reason why we should suffer a loss due to someones bad business practices? So we pass down the chargeback to the seller (you).

If you have any questions please let me know

Regards,
Asher.
