NOC Monkey is a web-based tool for remote servers recovery. It boots up the server in recovery mode via NIC using PXE protocol. Management is performed through a web interface which makes system administration easy and comfortable. Now, to recover system or install new OS, you don't need a direct access to the server. You can do it with NOC Monkey which works as a PXE server for your servers. A server in NetBoot mode will boot from NOC Monkey.
In recovery mode you can get access to computer via SSH or WEB interface. Using WEB interface you can check/recover partitions of hard disk, change root password of your computer, install new OS, recover computer from backup.

A 5 server license is free? Wow. I wonder how long that will last.

I think they priced it too cheaply. I would be more than happy to pay more for this feature.

yes i also think is too cheap for what it seems to offer. I already ordered the 5 free linceses to test it out.

Your thoughts?

The only downside I see is that it must be installed from the CD. Like so many other people, I don't have direct access to all of my server boxes for the installation.

I believe thats to install NOCMonkey server itself. After which, installing OS on other servers are done remotely. So yeah, the first time you want to use NOCMonkey, you will have to prepare a server and put this server to your DC.

To me it seems to bad they didn't expand on this and have it do bandwidth usage and some other stuff software like nocwizard does.

it also require that all servers which you would like include to cluster will have in setup enabled option - "Boot from network".
Most likely, this will require custom work from DC techie. But, anyway, main idea and function  looks as great and very helpful both for DC and dedicated reseller (or colo owner).
