I'm off to the cottage. We're going to have a bonfire in -20 weather, beer, laughing, joking, etc... Bring in the New Year Canadian style :D

We just got over 12 inches of slow last night. Wooohooo

Lucky dog, down here in NC we got 0 inches of snow,and I wanted 21 inches like last Jan.

too bad.

hehe, slap that 12 inches on top of the 12 inches we already had and we're at a nice 2 feet of snow! :D

I'm glad I put the winter tires on the car this year!

Well no snow here.... but we're going to have big bonfire, somebody has to take care of all those christmas trees.....

Well, I'm off to the cottage. Still snowing like crazy here. Up to about 15 inches now. :) My dog loves it.

We'll only have a bonfire here if the x-mas light reindeer out front start throwing sparks (again). Other than that it's going to be staring at the tube as seeing how many countdowns we can watch before all the channels are in the new year.

we have usually watch the acorn drop, then the diamond in NY thats about all we can watch

It is an honored tradition here to choose the seven best goats one has, and dance with each one of them just before midnight of New Years.

Then we eat them.

Well, it's New Years Day here today, and it's already 85 fahrenheit (about 32 Celsius) and gloriously sunny.

I believe I might spend the rest of my New Years holiday soaking up the sun :D

Well, 29 minutes to go and I'm sitting here typing this :(.

Well the new year has come, and my day went better than planned.

Plans for new yrears eh, boggie all night! :D

Now that it is New Year's Day and we have eaten the seven goats -- well, of course, now we do the thing with the virgins...

It is not a "cult" as you called it; rather, we prefer to think of ourselves as "worship-impaired".

In any event, the thing we do with the virgins is actually sponsored by the local YMCA.

It got real cold at the cottage. We sat by the fire until 3 am. Excellent night.

Woke up with a shriveled raisin for a brain though! OUCH! :D

Do you *have to* give us straight lines like that? A man can only exercise so much restraint...

Well, I had fun, some friends were over til 'bout 1:00am.

And no one was drinking.
