It's not anything new. http://www.google.com Now tell me, how does that help out the poster at all? I'm pretty certain that everyone here has heard of Google before, so pasting the link surely isn't going to help Rus out one bit. He said he already tried google... exclaim 07-28-2005, 04:48 PM I believe it depends on what it is you're trying to restrict. That list from treas.gov seems to be more for physical goods trading, not electronic "goods" (too lazy to go thru the PDFs to find out :P ). I came across this list when checking out GoDaddy's SSL offerings. http://products.secureserver.net/products/restrictions.htm It may be more applicable to us as hosting providers... but I think as posted in many other posts... consult a lawyer for the final word ;) Skeptical 07-28-2005, 07:43 PM Vietnam should be on there. 100% fraud rate for 3 years straight. bithost(NET) 07-28-2005, 10:36 PM C'mon guys. My response of google.com was not directed at Rus, it was directed at the brilliant comment I wonder why Balkans and Burma are in the list . Are they terriorists too When I typed "Balkans trade embargo" into Google, I received about 96,400 records back about it. Some of the entries on the two front pages explain the whole situation in painful detail: http://www.europaworld.org/issue59/generalassembly301101.htm http://legalminds.lp.findlaw.com/list/lawsrc-l/msg01287.html http://www.ceip.org/pubs/balkan-power/pubsbr92.htm http://64.233.167.104/search?q=cache:U-tH68o0A-0J:purl.access.gpo.gov/GPO/LPS14278+balkans+trade+embargo&hl=en&client=firefox-a http://64.233.167.104/search?q=cache:tn79d2tT2zMJ:www.treas.gov/offices/enforcement/ofac/sanctions/t11sudan.pdf+balkans+trade+embargo&hl=en&client=firefox-a I wasn't trying to be flippant towards Rus, I was responding to the airheaded comment after his earnest inquiry. ;) Sheez, guys. :D Bailey |
