Hosting AF announced today that it has filed a lawsuit in the District Court of Mobile Alabama against Dixiesys. The suit claims that Dixiesys has intentionally copied the Hosting AF site, in an effort to confuse customers, and steal business from Hosting AF.

Hosting AF, a dynamic new hosting company that has recently acquired RackShack and Interland, filed the suit to demonstrate to other hosting providers that good business practices have to be followed.

Allan Liska, Vice President of Marketing had this to say about the suit, "Some people think just because there is a graphic in the bottom left hand corner of our site that says copyright dixie internet systems, that we must have stolen the site. That is simply not true, I am sure there is a perfectly good reason why that is there, and as soon as I think of it, we will issue another press release".

Objectively speaking, this reporter thinks that Dixiesys has no shot of winning this suit, and should settle out of court.

Well, I think they're similar. But not the same.

One starts with an "H" while the other starts with a "D."

Since "D" comes before "H" I must summize that Dixiesys site came first.

Exactly!! That's precisely what happened :D!

I will have to append that to this part of our press release:

Some people think just because there is a graphic in the bottom left hand corner of our site that says copyright dixie internet systems, that we must have stolen the site.

I'm sorry, it was our designer that stole HostingAF's site and sold it to DixieSys. I knew hiring a 11 year old transvestite from Turkey over ICQ wasn't a good idea, I will compensate both DixieSys and HostingAF for any trouble this has caused.

always the designers fault

I know how to solve this, we're gonna roshambo for it.

Whoever falls down first loses the lawsuit.

Cheaper than lawyers, and while our testicles may be a bit bruised afterwards, at least we'll get to keep them.
