I need:
Serious well-known company
99.999% up time
Fast servers / connections
10-20 GB transfer
PHP4/MySQL (should have 10MB - 50MB)
just 100MB Disk is ok
A big plus - I need to point a few domains (2-3) to subdirectories - this may be a paid option
all that somewhere around $20
thanks for all your experiences and advises

IF a hosting company is serious they will look to make profits and invest on good, knowledgible support staff and have multi-homed redundant network connections and have top quality hardware...
... you can may be get 4-5 GB transfer and 100 MB space for 20$/mo
that is if the hosting company is serious about being profitable, providing good support and having high uptime
Just my thoughts though
Cheers

With that price, you are looking for 99.5% uptime (at most 3 hours 36 minutes downtime allowable every month)... 99.999% uptime is more difficult and will cost you more ....

10 GB and 20 GB of bandwidth is a big difference. Do you really need that much bandwidth? People are always asking for MUCH more than they really need. Also, 99.999% uptime means no more than 26 seconds of downtime per month, which isn't even enough time for one reboot! If you want that kind of reliability, then you'd probably be better off with a dedicated server from a place like RackSpace, but it'll cost you.
:) i'm not looking for exactly 99.9999% but for serious company that don't have problems with servers and dont reboot everyday - better a biggerone
i'm happy with 10GB transfer & 100MB, what i'm most into is seriousness/fast connection/multipe domains (even paid - but on one account in subdirs)
can you suggest some names ?
