Hi All,

Just added my Credit Card as a Primary Card in my Paypal A/c. I want to add Funds to my Paypal A/c with that Credit Card.

I don't know how to do it as I can't see any option.

Pl let me know how to do it? Its urgent. Also, tried Paypal Help but, couldn't find anything.

Also, I haven't enrolled for that Expanded Use.

Pl enlighten me ;)

You cant add money to your paypal balance using a credit card.

Once you have added your credit card to you paypal account (which it seems you have done), you just click send money, and send money to the person u want to pay.
It will then charge your card...

Actually I was asking this bcoz I had some balance in my Paypal A/c & so just wanted to add remaining amt to it & then send the money to someone.

you just try and send the money to them - it will use the balance you have in "cash" and then withdraw the remaining amount from your card.

You *USE* to be able to fund your paypal account directly from a credit card. In fact, we use to fund over $10,000 a month off our airline miles card to our paypal account each month and then use Paypal to pay our monthly expeses (using the Paypal debit card).

Of course the banks hated this because you were basically taking a cash advance without paying the banks any of the cash advance fees.

So there was a bit of pressure applied to Paypal (and it changed hands) and now you can no longer do it. :(

It was great while it lasted though!

Remove you card from paypal, make a send money link. Send it to your self. Then re-add the card.

A bit sneaky.. not sure if its 'allowed'. But...

Sure, if you want to pay the commision to paypal just to fund you account.

Once you have added the credit card to your account, just start the SEND a payment. When you get to the "Check Payment Details" page, look right under the "Source of Funds" banner for a link that says "more funding options". Click the link and you can change to Credit Card.

My money is lost.

My Virtual Credit Card is charged some absurd amount & the remaining balance should have been credited to my Bank A/c but, it is not & nor it is in my Paypal A/c as the receipent had denied the payment.

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly, but I am guessing that what has happened is that Paypal has put a hold on that amount to see if it clears or not.

That's one thing that is a problem with Paypal and these holds can last a week.

Well, OK let me explain what happened.

I used a Virtual Credit Card (which expires on single use) to send money to my Brother's Paypal A/c through mine.

He found that he had to upgrade to a Premier A/c to receive the amt & also thay he would be charged transaction fees. So, he declined the payment.

Hence, That Virtual CC was charged the amt I sent & then were credited back to that VCC as he declined the payment.

But, since the VCC expires on single use, I don't think the amt was credited back properly. It took 2-3 days to appear on my Statment.

A small amt has been charged to that VCC. But, the rest balance is yet to appear in my Bank A/c (it is credited back immediately when the VCC statement is updated).

So, now I have the money no where - not in Paypal nor in my bank a/c. Also, that charge to me by paypal is not correct as the payment was declined.

Am lost & don't know what to do now.
