Hi All,

My Friends current website (a ASP based Forum) is on a Host whose Control Panel is Hosting Controller on Windows 2000.

I have H-Sphere with Windows 2003.

He wants me to host his site. How should I go about transferring his A/c to me.

What problems can I expect with this transition & fact that earlier it was 2000 & 2003.

Just a thing to note - His ASP Based forum is based on a Access Database.

Thanks in Advance.

Well.. transfering isn't that hard. You'd basically need to setup your hsphere reseller account, then create an end-user account for your friend.. Copy all your website data over, test it via the instant alias and when ready, ask your friend to change his domain's name servers to your's..

Transitioning between Win2000 and Win2003 is no issue. You'd just need to ensure that when you copy your site over, the database path is updated if need be. During propogation, you should disable the site on the old host to prevent the Access database with the old host to get updated info which would be lost
