Many of us have spent a lot time in the past many months trying to decipher exactly how Google's "PR" system really works. So personally I have mixed feelings about the latest announcement from the Googleplex: they're revealing all the inner workings! In a way I guess I'm relieved not to have to keep worrying about it, but since I now see that I was on the right track to figuring out the system anyway I feel a little bit cheated out of a sort of competitive advantage.
Anyway, everyone is going to know now, thanks to this link (http://www.google.com/technology/pigeonrank.html) that's now right off the Google home page at www.google.com.
