Ok, see does anyone else get domains and then wonder why they got them, maybe a couple of hours or days after they get it? Maybe you have delusions of grandeur (I can sell these babies and retire!!!), or you just think it is *the* best name at the time, etc.?

So, while I could go on about all of the domains I have amanged to collect, these are the lastest (none resolve, nor will they ever most likely)...

Ok, so I got caught up in the name of the McNugget, which is understandable. It is the same reason people buy tiny license plates with their own names on them. How cute, eh? :eek:

Perfect for that Halloween site I've thought of doing for the past 4 years. What exactly made me think I'd actually do it once I got the name, I'll never know. I actually bought satansmidgets.com for this purpose and I don't think I've ever set up nameservers at the registrar for that one yet. Look for bwitch.com coming to you on Halloween 2016.

I'm also a sucker for dictionary words. I passed up another dictionary word one, which is a good thing as it was 10x worse than this one! This one isn't too bad... I have some others which are ok. Will I ever use 'em? Survey says, nope!

I don't even know the story on this one. Can't recall at all. Couldn't even begin to tell you why I got this one. I wasn't even drunk, which could have been a handy excuse. As you can tell, this was another fine purchase.

I've done this with most the domains I have - "Oh this is the best name, I bet I could sell this one", and a few minutes later, after starring at it for quite some time, then asking a few friends what they thought about them, I realise they are worth close to crap, heh. But, I did get pick up a few pretty good ones when I started getting into domains which I sold, so I'm not losing money or anything, I just need to remind myself not to keep reg'ing domains from time to time. :stickout

This is one I really thought was neat. Very witty. Again, I don't think I've talked to one person that even remotely liked it at all, let alone thought it was great. I made sure to buy the .net and .org I thought it was so wonderful. i don't do this anymore. I hope other people buy the .net and .org and then decide that they want the .com so badly they are willing to pay me obscene amounts of money for the .com (MUH-HAHAHAHAHA)

If we could only post it and no one would register it *if* it *was* really, really good. Pity I have to learn the hard way. :bawling:

I do have some I like no matter what anyone else thinks. Badlittlemonkey.com = not great but considering it is 15 characters, what do you want. mooched.com & boomed.com & gurgled.com for dictionary ones (got autopsied.com as well, in a moment of not thinking straight). One day when I'm drunk I'll probably end up giving BC pukeface.com as he seemed to like it (but he'll have to buy the drinks). spacechicken.com & satansmidgets.com & toadsuckpark.com & zippermonkey.com I've always liked, though it will be a miracle if I ever do anything with them. There's a few more that are ok, but in general, I have too many already and don't do anything with the ones I have. I've finally let some expire that I should never have registered (did you know that 4 letter .com's aren't particularly rare so you shouldn't run out and get just any crappy combination? I do now, heh).

And so ends my little domain story. I like domains, even though I'll probably never use them for anything (there are only so many neat email addresses one needs, which used to be a good excuse). If you have some interesting ones that aren't being used, feel free to add to my misery...

None of the ones I posted are being used (you'd think after reading the guidelines I'd not violate them myself), nor are they for sale. Maybe we can all set up thread in the ad forums to trade 'em heh. That way we can all not use new ones! Fun fun!
