I am looking for a serious host for my reseller account.....
serious = one who would be of the category of midphase, bluewho, httpme, hostgator, and the like...... : that is :
many years of experience
true support
real good connection
real modern servers
not overcrowded boxes.
What I need is
7GB webspace
30GB Bandwidth
and I need SSH (even jailed) and to Oversell.
I can pay $50 a month, can't really pay more.
would you recommend someone to me?

i think everyone looks for those things when finding a host, or they should.
The only one issue I have is the years of experience. You just have to be careful with companies who claim to be around for many years. Owners changes hands etc, and support changes if that happens.
I've heard good things about Hostgator from these forums, they seem to have a good rep.

Hmm... If budget is really the main concern here, try SolidInternet.com. I am paying much less than $200 per year for the web hosting. Though, you only get limited technical support through forums which should be enough if you know what you are doing.

looks to me (I have little experience) very nice, but I think you are offering way too much BandWidth that your customers almost surely would not need and you are very restrictive on webspace.

rustelekom 07-22-2005, 03:41 PM on hsphere (vortechosting.com use hsphere) overselling just impossible i am sure. this is not allowed by hsphere as control panel software. but they reseller tariffs is great and have enough space and B/W for any requirements. also they use clusterized system, around 10 servers only for mysql database and etc...
Vortech 07-22-2005, 03:48 PM You can oversale in H-Sphere. This is not impossible and is built right in to the system for diskspace and bandwidth. They call it " Summary Disk Usage" same thing.

when i see this price, i think I can't buy good servoces from this company , but i test theire company .
i bought RZ1 on 4july i'm on smith server , they have best support that i ever seen, good staff and very good company . before this, im reseller with another company and pay 12.95 $ for 2Gb/30GB , but RZ is great , I think they are best reseller company that i seen .

some of my tickets might wait 6 hours before I get an irrelevant answer.
recently they have had a serious crash of one of their servers (where my site is) and it took them AGES to get it ........ oh, start everything back from scratch
for me frankly it looks like a one-man-show business.

I am unable to identify what your problem might be but if you send me an email to kiet[@]hostingzoom.com I will make sure whatever problem you're having is taken care of promptly.

Your server had the cpu fans go bad which required the processors replaced and an os reload one day after you were put on the new server. We do not reply to a ticket just to tell you we are working on it so if it's a complex issue that takes time to resolve, we'll work on it and then reply. If you email me the ticket number to kiet[@]hostingzoom.com, I will look into it. Thank you.

I'm interested in HZ, but this reply seems a bit of a worry, i know one can't work on an issue AND answer a bevy of emails BUT not supporting your ticket system and your customer doesn't make sense. Can someone tell me, in this case, can't HZ massreply to the appropriate tickets telling them to go see a forum announcement (about the server issue) ???

And Kiet can verify, I'm not an easy customer. (ihostvas)
They've been able to deal with an A-Hole like me, and still be respectful as ever.
I've sometimes had my ticket responded to in 10 minutes, longest was 2 hours (wasn't major issue).
I suggest you try them out.

this is not about WHERE he posts the information, it's WHETHER he posts the information !

We do not reply to a ticket just to tell you we are working on it. Okay, now you see?
if it's a complex issue that takes time to resolve, we'll work on it and then reply. Reference Point #2.
You just misunderstood what he said is all.

Then nothing would get done.
It's done this way for that reason specifically. You can't get anything done if you are answering customers every 2 seconds. You just can't.

I think you misunderstood and/or it was confusing since I was addressing two things in that reply. The mention of not replying to simply say we are working on a ticket is in regards to suffering saying we have irregular reply times to support tickets and has nothing to do with the server issue. We have admins that take care of the server and techs that take care of tickets.

Thank you very much, that is also what the support manager told me but it seem, after several months, I still got the same problem.
Here are my problems.
1.) I have one account three months ago on another webhost with several domain in it. Which means I monitor the bandwidth usage and everything under 1 account: which is
domain1 1mb bandwidth usage + 4mb from other domain
--domain2 1mb bandwidth usage
--domain3 1mb bandwidth usage
--domain4 1mb bandwidth usage
--domain5 1mb bandwidth usage
where domain1 is the mother account and domain2 to domain5 are just subdomain and I redirect the domain names on it.
Before I transferred to resellerzoom, I asked them If they can help me transfer the account since I am using a cpanel. They replied, yes and then I decided to move to resellerzoom. Before the transfered was made, I deleted some of the domain that resides in my account (domain1) and created a separate account in resellerzoom for some domains so that I can monitor everything properly. so each of them have separate account and have their own Cpanel.
Before Resellerzoom:
domain1
--domain2
--domain3
--domain4
--domain5
When I transfered to Resellerzoom
domain1
domain2
domain3
domain4
domain5
(Each domain has a cpanel account)
Now problem is this.
1.) All the domain that was previously under domain1 and were separated from it don't reflect the correct bandwitdh usage most of the time in cpanel. I have to use the awstat or webilizer for that. Most of the time, cpanel say .01 or .02 bandwidth usage as opposed to awstats.
2.) In WHM, all the domain that was previously under domain1 and were separated from it still accumulates the bandwidth usage on the mother account BUT THOSE DOMAINS WERE ALREADY DELETED IN THAT ACCOUNT MONTHS AGO. Which means to say in WHM I see
Domain1 - 1Gb + 4mb of other domains !
Domain2 - 1Gb
Domain3 - 1Gb
Domain4 - 1Gb
Domain5 - 1Gb
Why is the bandwidth of other domains added to domain1 considering the fact that domain1 to domain5 is independent to each other and EACH of the have their OWN CPANEL ACCOUNT ?
The Major problem with this is: If domain1 to domain5's bandwidth quota is 1Gb each and each domain consumed 500mb, domain1 will be suspended for wrong bandwidth report because the bandwidth usage of other domain will be added to domain1 causing it to exceed the bandwidth quota.
Yes they say that it is because it was previously under domain1 and I should no longer see that problem on the next month, and I got the same reponse every month whenever I asked them to correct the problem.

With regards to the ticketing support of resellerzoom and how they respond, I can say that they are great. They respond to your ticket quickly. The 24/7 thing at resellerzoom is real, believe me I tried it. they usually reply roughly within 15 minutes.
My problem is a special case I guess, if you don't have multiple domain under one account before you transfer to reserllerzoom, I think you won't have this kind of problem.
