Hello,

I have some email addresses @mydomain.com and someone just put my email addresses in the "From" tag and send SPAM emails thru his Outlook using other smtp servers such as "earthlink", and I receive lots of bounded email saying some of the email addresses are invalid... so annoying, how can I get rid of it? I'm using those email addresses everyday, and receive tons of SPAM warning and bounded emails :(

PLEASE HELP!

Happens all the time. I've lost count of the number of threatening letters that I've received accusing me of spamming. I don't know how to solve this. As I understand, there are ways of tracing back to find out where the spam was sent from, but I don't think these are 100% accurate.

Let's face it, spammers are gutter slime.

Yeah happened with me too

I was lucky that email address was not in use, so just bounced everything back :D

The only solution is to sue the spammers for damages. However, it is not always possible or practical to do that. :(

see if you have any formmail.pl scripts on your server. 99% of the time the problem you're describing is caused by this. any version earlier than 1.9 allow anonymous mailing to arbitrary addresses.
