I have hosted with superb.net in the past. We did a colocation there for about 1 year, and we never had any problems but we left due to cheaper rates for the bandwith we needed. I do like there support though you get 2 hours of support or 1 hour of emergency support a month. Similar to unmanaged hosting which is what most people do now but a little change.

I did not use any of their dedicated servers so I don't know what it was like however things worked out well. Not much downtime in the year I was there very little infact.

I have been using one of Superb's sps servers for 1 year. In that time I have had a few problems.
1) In the beginning I was told that the sps software had been running for a year. I quickly found several problems, email going to wrong address etc. I was told that a patch was available but it had not been applied to my server because i didn't ask for it!!!!!! I would have thought that patches were applied to all servers as a matter of course.
2) I was down for 18 hours because a Kernal upgrade was done and my server wasn't checked to see if it rebooted correctly. It hadn't.
3) A tech rebooted my sps on my request then disappeared without waiting to see if it booted correctly - it didn't. Downtime 5 hours. I was told that the Data center is staffed 24 hours and it is plain from this that it just isn't. Eventually a staff member from india rebooted my sps.

I understand that they have a lot of happy customers, but in my experience when anything went wrong they were hard to get hold of. I feel they are a little expensive but I'm happy to pay extra for good support. However i didn't recieve good support so i'm going elsewhere. If nothing goes wrong, you'll be a happy customer too.

I am sorry to hear that you got bad experience with Superb.Net. I have used their services before and I would say it's great. You should have contacted Mr Jass who is the founder/owner to solve your problem.

They are a bit more expensive that some other companies but they offer reliable tier-1 network with 100% redundancy, they are one of the few such a big companies making profit from the very beginning, 100% up-time, shared hosting hosted on powerful Sun platforms... etc.

You pay is what you get. Superb is really superb!

no experience w/ superb.net when it comes to dedicated, but i do have a virtual unix account w/ them. their prices are a bit more expensive than most other places, but i definitely think it shows in their service and product. i'm completely pleased with them and don't intend on moving any time soon. hope that helps.

We were with superb.net - the setup was good and prices were good, they did very well considering the setup was with 5 servers. No real problems until about a month after setup. We started to have problems with apache and it just wouldn't work, so as you can imagine, our site was down for some time. We spent two days trying to get support from superb.net but they became very unprofessional and wouldn't help us. They cut off support entirely and were very unsupportive throughout the entire process.

So I guess it goes to the old adage, you get what you pay for. My company has been going from one cheap dedicated host to another with nothing but problems for some time but after 2 years of nothing but problems with cheap host, we finally put up and went with a very reliable host, they are about 3X more expensive than those cheap host but if you want expensive, just think about how much down time will cost your company. We have been with our current dedicated host and have been very happy from day 1.

Who are you with now?
Would you recommend them as a dedicated host? Do they offer any services for managing the server?

Thanks.
