Chicken 03-31-2002, 01:19 AM You know you're old and married when...
The McNugget *finally* falls asleep, it is Saturday night, you've got yummy stout in the fridge, and you tell the wife, "Whooo-hooo! Nugget is sleeping! Party... party... party!!!"
-and she replies, "Should I get us both a bowl of icecream?"
*hangs self*
I remember when partying was more than eating a bowl of icecream :bawling:
alchiba 03-31-2002, 01:41 AM You get ice cream????!!!
Walter 03-31-2002, 02:13 AM What's so bad about ice cream ?

and she replies, "Should I get us both a bowl of icecream?" If she's still willing to dip the ice cream for you then you're young and married! Old and married is when she goes and grabs herself a bowl and after eating it (all!) looks at you and says... Oh I'm sorry, did you want some?

Mmmm.... Ice cream and beer. Now there's a combination. :)
Mirage-ISP 03-31-2002, 10:55 AM Hey Chicken :)
substitute icecream with whipped cream and you got a major party going on. So many excellent uses for the thingy ...

I must be old, married and unlucky because my wife doesn't even ask me if I wanted some :(.

No...the really good times are when the kids get older and you go to the fridge to get yourself a bowl of ice cream and find the container empty except for the spoon the kids used to scrape the last bit out. Wait 5 years :)

I'm not fully attached.... yet... although, that won't last long. :) Lucky for me, growing up, is not part of my plans.

lol...I had plans like that too. But then I kept getting bills and heartbreaks and bills and tax bills, mortgage bills, student loan bills.....eeeeeek.........nothing kills a peter pan syndrome like bills :bawling: am perfectly happy now to be erm somewhat grown-up, so I can legally use whipped cream:D
allan 04-01-2002, 11:16 AM Chicken -- you are really depressing me with these stories (the Valentine's day spent at Costco and now this). With my own little packet on the way, I am already starting to see some of these changes, and it scares me. I finally managed to drag Roseanne out of the house to go out with some friends (two of whom are also pregnant) Saturday night, and the evening was over by 10:00.
I can still remember nights when we had not even decided where we were going to go by 10:00 :D.
