View Full Version : Looking for feedback on pSek.com

I'm contemplating plunging over to the other side -- getting reseller hosting so that I can make each of the sites I manage be its own account, maybe sell some new ones. I'm completely ignorant of what this will get me into, so I've been looking to this and other forums for the very valuable glimpses of problems, solutions, suggestions.

My question regards hosts -- I've been supremely happy with my current hosting service -- pSek.com. Since they also offer reseller accts, it seems they should be my best bet. But, I don't find any mention of this provider anywhere. I've searched a number of ways and places, and they simply don't turn up. So, my guesses are that either pSek is a gem nobody has yet discovered or it's a clinker that everybody has learned to avoid. I can't imagine how the latter could be true, but, then, I'm completely new to this game, so who knows!

A few months ago, the company was taken over by new management. The previous owner was uncannily accessible -- seemed like he was always there to answer questions, fix the few glitches. Must have got burned out. I was worried about new management, but so far they seem to be equally attentive and responsive (though there is more than one person responding finally; that's a good sign, imho).

Any informed comments regarding pSek.com would be appreciated.

Although I don't have any personal experience, from my perception, I would say that they are a reasonable company.
A lot of hosting companies are not listed on this forum as well as others simply because they have no need for them. The customers they try to attract may not be here and they simply have no dependancy on forums etc. for clients. Not finding information on a company on this forum shouldn't really be a reason not to consider them.

Looking at the pricing structure, i can say that it is decent. They seem to charge the right price and therefore possibly have a good quality of service.

I would personally stay if i were you. If you are happy with them thusfar, I would stick with them...

Their domain name was registered in 2002, so a long time ago.

They have servers or host in: IH Networks California.

Their reseller plans are not cheap. You can get a better price from a WHT reputable company. Their support is 10am-10pm MSN,...available. I dont think the picture on about us page is their!

The forum is new, or is the hosting company new. Ask them!

And write here for the next custommers.

Why limit yourself to firms advertising on WHT...?
Relatively, the prices may appear expensive, but in reality, $15 - $20 per month isn't all that expensive.

Andrejs, seing how you have first hand experience with that host and are satisfied with their shared hosting, I believe you have enough reasons to trust them.

Besides, there's a saying on this board: no news is usually good news. :)

So true. Usually when customers say something about a company--it's not going to be a pleasant story.

Yes it's true about all the stories. But remember that NEW hosting companies can't have any reviews.

So ask them how long are they in hosting business. And what was their name before. Because they bought these business.

They have 30 days money back guarantee. Try them!

All reasonable advice; thanks.

I don't believe in throwing money away but I always feel better paying a fair price. So, guess I'll give them a try.

I don't want to be silent regarding a good business, though: I've had a hosting acct with pSek since I had to bail out of a couple crashing hosts -- and the service can only be called "premium grade." The current owner has continued with prompt, attentive support. I'll see how they are on the reseller side.
