I currently buy my domain names from selectmydomain.com ($12.95/yr) because they use opensrs.org which is a great management system. They offer free transfers to change the domain name ownership. Godaddy.com charges $50 for this.
Do you guys know of any other opensrs.org company that sells for less the $12.95/yr?
THANK YOU

It's going to be hard to beat $12.95 at an OpenSRS reseller.
Wholesale from OpenSRS is $10 for a .com domain.

Oh okay. So $12.95 for opensrs is a really good rate then?

My fav registrar registerfly.com allows you to transfer domain names(change ownership etc) for free. Try them out, I buy/sell a number of names so this is very useful to me

Oh-oh, I didn't know GoDaddy charged for this :( - thanks for the heads up.
Just checked their site, the charge listed is $19.95 per domain. I didn't see this anywhere in the FAQ or ToS though, only when I went into my account to process a change of ownership :(

BulkRegister does not charge members any fees for changing registrant data. And domain registration starts at $12 per domain. Check 'em out!:)

I believe that gkg.net (http://gkg.net) offers free owner transfers a well. This (https://secure02.gkg-com.com/domain/support/faq/managefaq.html) appears to be the relevant FAQ page.

No, Bulkregister is an ICANN registrar - just like Opensrs.

Remember OpenSRS is a wholesaler only. OpenSRS resellers are free to set their fees anywhere we want.
Some will charge for a failed transfer - some will not.
Some will charge a fee on top of the annual renewal required to actually transfer a domain - some will not.
It's up to the individual reseller - not OpenSRS.

GoDaddio conveniently does not mention anywhere that for domain ownership transfers they charge $49.95
After I found out myself, I moved my domains to Stargate.
