Hey all.
I was working with my hosting company to configure my shiny new hosting account. It was going well until I asked about SQL. This particular host offers both SQL server and MySQL, which is good because I can use both (about two years exp with each). So they asked me what I need with it. Not having dealt with either of these in a shared hosting envirenment before, I told them what I intend to do with it. I'm guessing that was the wrong answer. Should I have said something like "Yeah, get me set up with 20mb on SQL server and MySQL?"
What do you think they meant?

Sounds too me like they wanted to know what was going to run off of it. They probably wanted to know how users you needed to support, they amount of access needed, etc... I would have told them exactly what I was going to do with it:cool:

Yes, I would tell them the space, users etc. that you want. Also tell them if you want it on SQL server or MySQL ;)
