Hi!
I continue to be available from 10PM to 6AM everyday do help with customer support via a reasonable ticket system. I currently have a few clients and have considerable room for two more at this time. I am trying to phase out all chat support...because it consumes too much time and, to be honest, hosts are not and do not seem to want to pay for that extra time.
You can do a search for some of my older posts to get more insight on what I do. I am very serious about this...and do enjoy doing it. Since I am having problems with people paying me on time, I have a new accounting system that sends out invoices and manages that for me. I don't charge much for this service and provide a level of service that delights customers.
I support Cpanel on Linux and are still gearing up toward being able to not only support Plesk on Windows 2003...but Helm as well. I feel I should be ready to start doing that very soon now...within the next week.
I also provide something many do not provide: Script support.
I support Movable Type and Wordpress for one client and would be willing to learn to support other scripts as clients need me to.
I have a complete archive of not only every application in Fantastico...but many that are quite popular and not in Fantastico.
The level of support is clearly up to you. I have one client that gives me root access to all the servers...and others who just have me forward tasks requiring such access to them to deal with later.
I'm getting quite good with MySQL interface problems..and dealing with module problems..the DBD::MySQL problem last week was my first need to install such manually.
I am also gearing up for more security work..finding holes before the hackers do. I have snort on both Linux and WIndows 2003 VPS's..and are learning Nagios as well. I feel
I should be able to assist hosts with penetration testing as soon as next week as well. I have several VPS's that can spread out scans just like the hackers do....so it's not as easily detected as one complete scan.
Learning Windows has been quite a task..but I've had the help of Microsoft and *two* bookselves at safari.oreilly.com-one just wasn't enough...two may not be either...:)
As I make this into a real business...expect a real website shortly as well.
