Looking for someone on Contract to work with setting up KVM over IP and remote O/S loading configuration. We have a targeted completion date of Sept. 30th so accuracy and stability required more than speed of finishing setup.

We are currently in the hardware / solution information gathering stage, so if you have sufficient knowledge on this topic that would be a plus.

The ideal person would possess the following;

Full knowledge of what KVM is all about.
Understanding of static ip and DHCP
Knowledge of different remote O/S load options. (pro's / con's)
Ability to recommend and suggest "best approach/practice"
Knowledge of different O/S requirements. (CentOS/FreeBSD/Debian/Microsoft)

TASKS will include (but not limited to)
Configuring a KVM switch
Install/write any required scripts
Configure distribution server for software library
Building OS images to be available for unattended/remote install
Write documentation for staff knowledge transfer

The contract will be done in two phases;

First phase will be design of the solution. (hardware specs, scripting, diagram/schema, etc...)

Second phase will be the implementation phase once hardware is purchased. If you are not in the Toronto area, MUST be able to clearly document steps involved for remote hands or work over the phone with staff for initial install.
