Any experienced zoneedit.com users here?
I registered my own domain name and pointed the dns to zoneedit.com, i've created a subdomain
mail.myowndomain.tld
The mail i receive @myowndomain.tld is forwarded to my mail account. Is it also possible to have the mail i receive at @mail.myowndomain.tld to be forwarded? If so how can i do this? If not are there similar free/cheap and reliable services where i can do this?

The way Zone Edit is put together, you would have to edit or change the mail settings for the whole domain, I think. You may want to check with the guys at zone edit yourself.
Their main number is:
212-271-1934
Ask for eric.

It is very easy when you add mail.myowndomain.tld as a new zone then you can do whatever you want: change A, MX records, mail forwarding, web forwarding etc. Hope this help.

i found that out already, NetworksData, via a similar forum
thx anyway
i doubt if i would have found it myself
apparently this means, i can only use mail at four subdomains and my main domain for free

No, nic76. If you register to be a reseller (free) you can add unlimited zones (not sure but I used to add more than 5 zones). Check https://www.zoneedit.com/signup-team.html? for more information. Also, I found ZoneEdit much better than others.

in what way is it better than f.i. mydomain.com?

First, you can offer their services as yours (reseller)
Second, you can change SOA records, which you can minimize the TTL so your DNS changes always take a few seconds to be updated on the Internet (like Enom's Real-time DNS)
