Hi guys I need a cheap host does any one have any experience with your-site.com, simonweb.com, or isitebuild.com, they all charge about $5/mon, and seem to have the features I want.

Main cgi bin, sendmail, ssi and the abitlity to modify and create my own .htaccess files

How much disk space are you going to need?

I'd highly recommend using Hosting Matters (hostmatters.com) I've had very few problems with them. I think the extra is worth it, you'll pay from $6-11 for comparable plans (depending on how much disk you really need)

I would bet that most personal web sites could fit in 10 MB if not less unless you have a lot of pictures.

I was hosted at Your-site.com for a short time. The service was good but I quickly outgrew what they offered though and needed more bells and whistles. From there I moved to Aletia... monstrous mistake on my part. Now I am looking at Hostingmatters like suggested previously. Have heard lots of good reviews about them.

I was very happy with your-site when I used them, a couple of years ago. Uptime was good; tech support was quick and knowledgeable. If you search for them here you'll find other comments.
