hey... i just loaded red hat 7.2 on a new hard disk... but it wont boot up... it loads lilo.. goes on to load the stuff.. but get stuck after it sets the kernel preferences... any suggestions on how to fix this??

Install FreeBSD instead?

Recompile kernel. If it's a fresh install reinstall it.

no worries.. problem solved..

i just pulled the hard disk out.. left alone for about an hour.. put it back in.. and wola.. all is fine... :D

Probably a bad disk, or bad cable. You shouldn't use it for production system.
