hi.. I'm new (no, really?!) : ) I found a link to this place at the wzp support forums and came to look around. *_* I noticed a few names I've seen else where, makes me feel a little more comfy.
hmm... guess I should contribute something, shouldn't I? :P I have SwK hosted http://www.worldzonepro.net , and it's been great. They have a lot of space, support everything, and are very cheap (36 per year starting January). Plus the best support around! *_* Webdude is always in the support forums ( http://www.worldzonesupport.com ) answering questions and stuff. Worldzone has free and paid hosting. I hope this isn't against the non advertising stuff O_o After all, I don't *own* worldzone :P

I am thinking of getting an account with them before the year is over, for the one time $25 setup fee. However, I read the features list and it says the allowable bandwidth is account specific. But when I read the TOS, it says they allow 3GB per month, otherwise they charge $25/mo per extra gig. So I'm afraid if I use my credit card to order, they will start automatically start charging me crazily for extra bandwidth that I use. I see that they offer the tools for a professional website, but not the bandwidth?
I'm also questioning the technical competancy of Webdude and the reliability of worldzone. I read posts at freewebspace.net and came across several postings like this one:

My impression of visitors at freewebspace.net is that they seem very immature (juveniles?), and for Webdude to be asking technical advice there doesn't seem too comforting, especially for server issues.

I agree alot of the people over there are inexperienced, but there's also alot of webhosting veterans there as well.

If you think you're going to have problems with bandwith, I'd suggest talking to Webdude. He said something a while back I think that if it's just more bandwith from many users, and it's not more bandwith because of chat scripts or massive media archives or something of that sort than it was okay. I haven't really looked into bandwith issues since I don't plan for my site to be needing a lot of bandwith.
Hi other people ^.^ I've looked around a bit and made a few posts. :)

I've decided not to bother signing up. I checked their forums for reviews/comments. A lot seemed positive, but it was coming from people on the WorldZone team or the administrators. To me that is like a self review and not a fair review. Then there was another thread about some guy promoting the service, without actually having an account there. Very misleading indeed to have these biased reviews.

As for the bandwidth issues, well, I'd prefer it to be a fixed quota per type of account and not conditional based on the type of individual usage. I can see this as being restrictive on the types of sites that I can have up.
