Took off 3 points for ".org" TLD (extra lookups may be required to find the parent servers).

Took off 3 points for ".net" TLD (extra lookups may be required to find the parent servers).

Took off 8 points for ".biz" TLD (extra lookups likely will be necessary to find the parent servers).

same for info us.

So, does this mean it will take longer to search DNS on org/net and even longer for biz/info/us?

Interesting research, qllonceagain... seriously.

But I'm concerned that we need to find you a girl friend... you MAY have too much time on your hands.

Just joking... :D

i noticed that only EPP based registries adds alot of time to the lookup, not sure how it works though!

But from a practical customer's point of view, it is those TLD's (Top Level Domain extensions) that require an authorization code or number in order to transfer them.

also .org switched to EPP since PIR took over control

the bad thing about EPP is branded whois information doesn't show and the registry doesn't forward the whois request to the registrar for example whois.registrarname.example but serves it from their side which i find it a bit bad
