Hi again, I do really think I do miss something in understanding the basics of bind. Until now only one domain is resolving and this is the domain I use for the nameservers. Can you understand why the other domains do not resolve?

DOMAIN-FOR-NS.com -> works (output of 'dig' is fine)
NEWDOMAIN-ONE.com -> nothing (no output of 'dig')
NEWDOMAIN-TWO.com -> nothing (no output of 'dig')

NEWDOMAIN-ONE.com and NEWDOMAIN-TWO.com must be in separate zone files.

huh.. wow I knew to be faaaar away from understanding how bind works... but I did really not understand until now that I have to create one one zonefile for each domain.... ;)

before spending more hours on Bind... what is the correct way to add a new domain?

1) add the lines in the zone defaults?
2) create a new master zone?

I have still problems in understanding what the zone defaults are.

thanks for your patience
