I think you would be fine hosting adult sites there as long as you make sure the content is legal.

I thought Rackshack's TOS didn't allow adult sites.

Last time I looked adult content wasn't premitted on the virtual servers but it is on the dedicated boxes were talking about...

I was looking to the 10mbos deal - I assume this will just a cogent line - no redundancy, the price seems amazing!

I host a few adult sites on a RackShack dedicated server and have had no problems at all and would highly recommend them. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. :-)

This seems to be the common statement about RackShack, it is "okay" to recommend them as long as that little "no support" disclaimer is kept in.

It is quite a misleading statement -- what you really mean is that this is not a managed server. Most customer's definition of support is emailing RackShack to have them install a new Apache module and then implement it for them. Even so they will usually do something even as mundane as this for you.

In terms of true support, i.e. reboots and hardware problems, I have never had a problem with them. I had a bad harddrive once in one of my machines and it was backed up and replaced within the day. Reboot tickets are turned around within 15 - 20 minutes.

I have nine servers with RackShack and support has been excellent for every one. So if you're comfortable in Linux or even know how to install your own Apache modules, you're set. RackShack provides all the support you need; all you have to do is be a competent sysadmin for the machine.
