We rank on page 1 of both Google and Yahoo for our key words. Will moving to a new host affect that?

WN-Ali is right, nothing should happen to your rank.

Nothing should happen to your search engine rank... that is unless the move for translates into prolonged downtime for some reason. A swift move should not affect you search engine results positions.

It won't affect your ranking but make sure not to have a long down-time while transferring

usually a change of web hosts should not affect your SE's rankings. However, keep in mind that the search engines are sensitive to the geographic locations therefore changing web hosts could effect your rankings on country specific searches. As a example if your site is hosted in the UK and you have top ranking for UK based searches and if you move your site to a US server it could affect your UK rankings.

Also, its always a good idea to keep your site in your old server for several days to provide sufficient time for the main root servers and their subordinates to update and refresh their information.

As SkyNet says ... changing web hosts could effect your rankings on country specific searches if your new host is not in the same country.

As search engines are becoming a little more geographic savvy, hence there may be an impact on your traffic, possibly if you are moving from one country to another.

You should make the move draw up a list of every script on your site so that you should know what need to change if required, as different hosts may have different paths for CGI scripts and MYSQL database.

Search engines often cache dns information -- Google certainly does, and Yahoo probably. So it's possible that for a period of time after a site moves to a new IP some search engine spiders won't find it. Usually that will only be a day or two, but the point is that it's a good idea to leave the site up in both locations until you verify in your logs that the important spiders have picked up the new IP address.

I think search engines like google yahoo are tooo over pricesed they should make a special package for small buisinesses i mean not everyone can pay that amount of money to them :|

This can be possible when you are moving one site to another, I agree with that.
