View Full Version : Setting up 'personal' DNS for .uk domains?

Anybody please advise how to go about setting up .uk domains as personal nameservers?

I currently use ukreg.com for .coms and simply use the "Create Nameserver Host Records" for ns1 and ns2, using a unique IP address for each one. Afterwards, I simply move the domain onto the dns. No NetSol involvement.

However, I don't appear able to do this with .uk.

Any advice, please?

Thats because you don't have to with .uk domains ! Just enter the nameservers and away you go (well after 24/48 hrs) :)

So if I want to move quikinfo.co.uk from ns1.host and ns2.host, I just type in ns1.quikinfo.co.uk, ns2.quikinfo.co.uk, create the hostname records on my server and done?

I haven't used ukreg for changing nameservers within a domain like you say, I 've used 123-reg and if you specify adomain.co.uk to use ns1.adomain.co.uk and ns2.adomain.co.uk it will then prompt you for the 2 IP addresses, I assume ukreg will do the same ?
