View Full Version : Anybody Notice A Drop In Sales And Traffic This Holiday Weekend?
2HostUNow 07-03-2005, 10:37 PM Hello,
Just curious if anybody is noticing a drop in traffic this long 4th of July weekend? I've noticed on my non hosting site had a 25,000 page views per day drop overnight! Also, sales have gone way down.
Anybody else noticing lower traffic, and slower sales?
jmweb 07-03-2005, 11:58 PM We've experienced a very busy start to our month in terms of sales.
dollar 07-04-2005, 12:12 AM I've noticed a drop on a non-hosting site as well. Many people are not at home this weekend so it's expected that they will not be accessing the internet as much.
cywkevin 07-04-2005, 12:51 AM My guess is potential clients are too drunk to click the buttons/links to order hosting. Perhaps I should make bigger buttons?

Bigger buttons and less text ;)
PixelManual 07-04-2005, 01:32 AM Thanks for excluding Canada there, eh?
It's our day off to. Friday was Canada day and then on top of that you have 4th of July. People are busy everwhere
Ya this weekend is already slow as if the summer doesn't usually cause a slow down as well, I'm seeing a drop in traffic and sales over this weekend.
We see it as well but we take it as a holiday ourselves as tickets are less so we just don't rush and have a relax ourselves

Mituozo 07-04-2005, 02:37 AM Slows down on the web in general this weekend. My site is getting less traffic, noticed it on other people's stats too.
2HostUNow 07-04-2005, 04:32 AM Okay, so it's now me...that's a semi relief. One of my sites saw when from about 25,000 less pageviews in one day which has never really happened before...
But yeah, I guess everyone is enjoying their 4th of july weekend, having fun with family and friends, while we sit here and worry about our sales :=)
Hopefully Tuesday, sales and traffic will return to normal....as least I hope for that
Steve_F2H 07-04-2005, 04:50 AM Yep. Even in the UK, as we yet again celebrate offloading the USA, whilst letting them think they'd won a major victory....;)
etechsupport2 07-04-2005, 09:55 AM Normally the traffic and sales are on their pick level from Monday to Friday. Saturday and Sunday are usually slow but it’s on and average.
(Stephen) 07-04-2005, 10:37 AM Sales are up here from what I see :D
etechsupport2 07-04-2005, 10:44 AM Good, keep it up! :)
WO-Jacob 07-04-2005, 01:28 PM Our traffic is dismal (though that's nothing special ;)), but we've had quite a bit of business coming in from current customers.
AH-Tina 07-04-2005, 03:32 PM We've seen a slowdown in traffic and sales this weekend. Its actually a good thing, since I'd rather be sitting by the pool and enjoying the fireworks thank working anyway! :D
